The innovation hub of United Lithographers, our electronic prepress wizards are constantly finding better, faster, easier ways to electronically produce your digital files.  No matter where your job is headed - offset, digital or Internet-bound, our electronic prepress department understands the nuances of each media and will get your job through the system without a glitch. 

Offset Printing

Craftsmen - reproducing ideas and information on paper - describes United Lithographers offset press operators.  Rightly so because offset printing is the "heart and soul" of our operation.  By utilizing statistical process control and continuous process improvement, we are able to concisely provide you with a first class product.  Our goal is not only to meet your expectations - but to exceed them.

We have a wide variety of offset presses in-plant and our offset printing capabilities include everything from single-color internal, multipart forms to four-color process presentation folders.  The newest member of our offset family, the Speedmaster 52, brings four-color offset printing to a new level.  Fully automated, this state-of-the art, computer-driven printing press, sets new standards in productivity, print quality and versatility in short-to-medium run high-quality color markets.   With a touch of a finger, our press operators can change press size, hand plates and perform press wash ups, leaving precious time where it pays off the most - in a quality finished product.

At United Lithographers, we are using offset printing in ways no one even dreamed about five years ago.  The ability to print long runs on an offset press and then hold them for short run imprinting on a digital press gives you more flexibility than ever.

Digital Printing

The term "digital" printing is a fairly new expression for most commercial printers. Not for United Lithographers.  We installed our first digital press in 1993 and in 1996 added a second.   The DocuTech 135 is a high-speed black only digital press with the ability to output 8,000 impressions per hour.  Utilized primarily as an on-demand document publisher, the DocuTech has file storage capabilities that can be edited one page, one paragraph, one sentence or even one letter at a time without the need to re-output film, restrip a layout or burn a new plate.  The possibilities for imprinting previously printed four-color pieces are limited only by your imagination.   Just send us your new file and we do the rest.   What really brings digital printing home is the experience, friendliness and technical expertise of our digital press operators.  They've tested, tried and retested job after job to garner a set of technical standards that ensures your digital project is the best visual showpiece you can receive.
